Setting Up Nameservers
- First write down 2 IP addresses from your reseller account and go
to the registrar for your domain. The registrar is the organization
from which you purchased your domain name.
- All registrars differ in their exact procedures for setting up nameservers.
Look for options allowing you to "Manage Nameservers" "Add
nameservers" or "Create Virtual Nameservers". Direct
inquiries to the registrar should you require assistance with this step.
We have a series of registrar based tutorials available on the same
page on which this guide was found.
- You will be required to supply the nameserver name (example: ns.domainname.com)
and an IP address. Use the IP addresses written down earlier and assigned
to your account (2 of them ), 1 for each nameserver (2 nameservers are
required).
- Now point your domain name to your nameservers. Point any additional
domains, such as your resold client's domains, to your nameservers.
Please allow 24-72 hours for DNS propagation.
Once DNS resolves to your new Plesk account you may use this URL for
the Plesk Login: https://yourdomainname.com:8443
Now you have the ability to start configuring your Plesk account.
