Filter Splash ImageApollo Hosting's MailBoxCop Spam / Virus Filter provides users with powerful, yet easy-to-use security for their inboxes. The system analyzes email before it reaches your inbox and stops any mail it believes to be spam from ever reaching you. The simple, browser accessible quarantine lets you review it's choices and quickly approve or deny them. The filter learns not only from your individual choices but the choices of all users, making it far more powerful than any filter that relies solely on a single user's choices.

MailBoxCop is FREE to setup. It covers ALL email addresses on a domain. Use our Install Request form, select MailBoxCop from the provided drop down list, and click "submit" to get started.

Basic Operations

login buttonYou will receive a login via email to manage all email addresses on a single domain. Multiple domain users will have a separate login for each domain.

To access your new online filter management system, simply go to http://spam.apollohosting.com. There you will log in using the domain you wish to manage and the password provided in an email to be sent once the upgrade is complete.

Basic settings for the strength of the filter are available on the main screen under "Filtering Aggressiveness". A list of Pending messages is also displayed on the main screen, allowing you accept, reject, or do nothing to the individual messages. The "Trap Contents" menu item will display a list of any messages the filter processed, and provides a drop down menu with various whitelist/blacklist options based on the email contents and origins.

Primary Whitelist/blacklist functionality is available through the "Rules" menu item. Rules can be setup to deal with individual senders, domains and hosts, as well as filename extensions for attachments and other criteria.

"Reports" provides summary statistics on the spam the filter has trapped.

"Preferences" allows modification of the interface, password, rules, and more detailed filter settings. Please review the provided User's Guide in the system to learn more about these preferences before making any changes. The default preferences perform well for most users.

A complete manual is available through the "User's Guide" link at the top of the interface once you have logged in. The full User's Guide URL is: http://spam.apollohosting.com/userguide.pdf
